The headline here is that with SQRL you can have a secure site specific identity without sharing any secrets (passwords) with the remote site. This means that even if a remote site is hacked your site specific identity cannot be used to impersonate you.

Alpha testing is being completed using Crashlytics beta. (confusing huh) Places are limited.

Beta testing will ultimately take place with Apple Testflight so the email that needs to be subscribed is the mail from the Apple Id on the device you want to test against.

Lets be clear here...

This is an early version, and not all of the protocol is implemented. We recommend not running this beta software in a production environment. That said your feedback is really important.

Time for a different sort of post.

I struggle with my weight and always have. I have always been big. I was on my first medically supervised diet by the time that I was 7 years of age. By 11 I had a 40â€ waist, chest and hips. I know this because I had to get measured for a dress at age 11, but that is another story. In my sixth form years I outgrew the ability to be able to buy anything from normal shops. I remember having to buy trousers from a neighbours catalogue at a 48â€ waist. Today I tip the scales at weigh 28 and a half stone and have recently returned a pair of trousers to Jacamo with a 58â€ waist. The trousers were too small.

I canâ€™t claim that I have any metabolic problems. I have had tests for thyroid issues on many, many occasions. I am not at present diabetic. The only possible explanation I have is that I have a whole new gland, unknown to science, that makes me a fat bastard.

If I go on diet and stick to it I lose weight. If I take regular exercise I lose weight. If eat like a normal reasonable human being I lose weight. The truth is that I rarely do any of these things.

I have sought help through my GP on several occasions. I have followed CBT based self help books prescribed to me. (The best and most helpful was Overcoming Binge Eating by Dr Christopher Fairburn). I pay for private counselling to try to help myself with my eating problems

I have attended pretty much every commercial slimming club in the UK. I have made good progress with all these diets when I stick to them. I have lost 8 stone here and 10 stone there more than once. I have always reverted to type and gained it all back. Always quickly.

I have crazy eating habits that I only indulge in private. As these behaviours dwell in darkness the behaviours end up making me a liar. I lie to friends, colleagues and loved ones all to avoid admitting to myself what I am doing to myself.

I hate the fact that I just canâ€™t seem to do what I say I want to do and control my eating enough to make positive long term changes.

I usually avoid writing things down like the plauge. The main reason for this post is to try to drag my daemons out into the light.

This post is not perfect, but it is a start. I hope to have more to say on this subject in the future.

Symptom: Raspberry Pi DHCP ethernet network problem with BT Homehub

I just can't get my PI to get a DHCP lease from my BT homehub (3)

I have tried multiple distros, firmware updates, checked voltages, multiple PSUs. SD cards

This thing was driving me INSANE as this PI has been working for me for months with openelec and no problems at all.

When i downed and upped the interface i could just see the PI getting NAKs from the DHCP server which made no sense at all.

In the end I swapped out the BT Homehub for a Draytek router I had laying around and BAM the PI got a lease first time. ( I was glad as the only other thing I had left to swap was my house!! )

I can re create this problem 100% by just swapping the router out and downing and upping the interface again. ( if anyone wants me to capture some traffic I am happy to do so! )

The forum seems full of folks having many odd networking problems so i thought I would share as I dare say there are a LOAD of folks in the UK with BT Homehubs that may have this issue.

So after I came up with my router swap workaround I started Googling in a bit more targeted way.

There seems to be lots of noise about BT homehubs having a hard local LAN device limit of 10 devices, so that is food for thought.

Which talks about BT Homehubs sending out DHCP NAK packets even when DHCP is disabled!!

There are also plenty of posts in the BT communities site talking about DHCP being broken on BT Homehubs.

I know that a good few folks are struggling with network issues, so I post this as just one more thing to try.

SMQ2 for inbound

SMQR for the inbound scheduler

It is possible to automatically reset the QRFC queues if safe in your installation.

You need to run RSQIWKEX periodically and also make sure that

MONITOR QRFC_RESTART_ALLOWED is set to 1 in sxmb_adm -> integration engine configuration

For entries with SMQ1 you need to use report RSQOWKEX

For entries with SM58 (tRFC)use RSARFCEX

SAP Solution Manager BI/BW reporting stops working after an ST Plugin update

Sometimes after a ST plugin gets imported you may start getting lots of BRAIN 299 error messages in SM21, Issues accessing BI CPH data in ST03 and BI content in E2E diagnostics. (Error loading template 0TPL_0SMD_MPEH_HA_Q0010 etc)

This can be because there are discrepancies between the active and delivered version of some of the BI content.

I have found that running the program CCMSBI_SETUP_E2E and the transaction RSTCC_INST_BIAC in the system hosting the BI for your solman will regenerate the content and fix may of these ills.

However, YMMV, so let me know how you get on.
